Gustav Egerstedt

Gustav Egerstedt is as Swedish as they come. Whether he’s belting football songs from the rafters at Hammarby or championing the next generation of horror at an infamous local horror film festival (of which he of course ran himself for a while) Gustav rarely is sat still. Makes sense when you’re as busy as he is! He is one of the busiest directors in Sweden, with his dry, surreal and hilariously awkward comedy and approach to storytelling going down a treat with the Scandis who know a thing or two about comedy let us tell you that.

Having begun his career as a creative in agencies, Gustav’s pivot into directing means good news for us and bad news for the competition. Bold, eclectic and so so funny, Gustav is a star in the making in Blighty.
